Skin damage from sun exposure and aging is unavoidable. Wanting to peel away this sign of damaged skin and reveal brighter and healthier skin underneath? Then a medical-grade chemical peel is what you are looking for. Dr. Duong uses a professional chemical peel and controls how deep the peel penetrates to give you the optimal result. With benefits ranging from alleviating stubborn breakouts to decreasing pore size and enhancing collagen production, if you want smoother, more even, and brighter skin, this process is one to consider.
Before the Treatment
- Stop using Retin-A, Differin, Tazorac, Renova, or any products containing retinol, salicylic acids, glycolic acid, retinoids, or any exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating your skin for at least a week, unless directed by Dr. Duong.
- Avoid any procedures including electrolysis, laser hair removal, or dermabrasion at least four weeks prior to your chemical peel.
- Avoid having any make-up or skincare products on your face when arriving for the procedure.
After the Treatment
- It’s normal for your face to be red and feel dry afterward. Expect some peeling, flaking, and redness for up to a week. Not everyone will have some skin peel. The peeling occurs at the cellular level; your face will still improve without the actual peeling.
- Avoid direct exposure to the sun and extreme temperature (heat and cold) for at least 3-4 weeks afterward.
